True or False: practice day

Practice day. Every activity works the way it does in class, but nothing counts: no real claim code is made and no form opens. Start with the first one: each activity has a Next button at the bottom, and Overview brings you back here.

Skills coming into this lesson

  • Store a value in a box with the arrow, and know the old value is gone
  • Build a trace table: one column per box, one row per line that runs
  • Divide whole numbers with ÷ and find the remainder with rem
  • Work a line with several signs in the right order

Skills after this lesson

  • Work out a comparison (<, >, ≤, ≥, =, ≠) and say whether it is true or false
  • Tell < from ≤ at the edge, where the two values are equal
  • Use rem to ask a question, such as whether a number is even
  • Join two answers with and or or, and flip one with not
  • Trace boxes that hold true or false
  1. 1Do Now
The first 10 minutes. Answer every question; a wrong answer shows why. Finishing gives a claim code.
  2. 2I Do: ACT-style reading
The passage with numbered paragraphs and nine ACT-style questions beside it, every answer checked.
  3. 3We Do + Try Its
Read each page with the class and work every Try It.
  4. 4Bench B09
About 30 minutes. Finishing, or "Get my claim code now", gives a claim code.
  5. 5Exit ticket
The last 10 minutes. Each question is answered once. Finishing gives a claim code.
